A Cremation Urn Purchase Can Help Nepal Earthquake Victims

On April 25, 2015, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal leaving many thousands of people stranded, homeless and wounded. Over 5000 people have been killed. Help is desperately needed.

With every order placed with OneWorld Memorials, we will be contributing $5 to the International Medical Corps (IMC). We are doing this through, and along with, Facebook. Facebook will match every contribution made through them to the IMC for up to 2 million dollars. Facebook’s matching funds will be distributed to local relief and rescue organizations working to provide immediate and ongoing relief in Nepal. This is a fantastic way to multiply our combined efforts to help those in distress.

About the International Medical Corps:  The IMC is a very highly rated non-profit organization. Their website states, “We assist those in urgent need anywhere, anytime, no matter what the conditions, providing lifesaving health care and health care-related emergency services—often within hours.

The IMC's emergency response teams are operating mobile medical units to deliver critically needed medical care and medicines to the regions hardest-hit by the earthquake. They’re distributing hygiene kits, water purification tablets and other supplies to keep families healthy. Moving forward, contributions will help teams support survivors, restore healthcare and help Nepal rebuild.

If you do decide to purchase your cremation urn or memorial product with us, through the Month of April, you will do so knowing that you initiated a contribution towards helping our Nepalese friends get some much needed relief from this devastating earthquake.
